- Most Type 3s running the stock exhaust system technically from 1972 to 1973. However it is not uncommon to see earlier cars 61 to 71 retrofitted with the late exhaust.
- Bottom line, don't go by year model, do a visual and size check before ordering.
*Will not fit earlier exhaust systems that use the smaller 2-piece style exhaust pipe!
